Ahwatukee, Arizona covers around 36 square miles and is bordered to the north by South Mountain and to the east by the cities of Tempe and Chandler and to the south by the Gila River Indian Community. It has a resident population over 88,000 (2012).

The name comes from the Crow Indian word for “house of my dreams.” Ahwatukee is home to a mix of planned communities with golf course and lake front properties. This community is wonderful for those that enjoy the outdoors – bikers, hikers, and walkers, have direct access to the South Mountain Park Preserve and Pecos Park Community Center.

Ahwatukee is one of the 15 villages of Phoenix, Arizona and have easy access to downtown Phoenix and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.The area includes many golf courses, restaurants and shopping.

Ahwatukee is known for its unique independent spirit and has been voted by Money Magazine as one of America’s “Best Places to Live”. Ahwatukee has its own Foothills Chamber of Commerce is a highly visible resource for community development, involvement, and improvement and is in a great school district.
